FAQs

  • The first step is booking a free consultation to get to know your therapist.

If interested, you will have an initial session. Completing paperwork to further assess your needs. I will continue to learn more about you and we will get to know each other better. I will answer any questions you have as well as offer treatment recommendations.

Your therapy journey will begin! Based on what you need, we will be meeting weekly or biweekly. Our work will be collaborative so if something is not working or if your priorities in therapy shift, we will review our plan and implement any necessary changes.

  • As a LPC Associate I do not take insurance.

  • I allow my clients to choose how often they want to have sessions. You can choose to have sessions once a week, once every 2 weeks, or once a month and you always have the option to increase or space out sessions. The most common option is starting with once every 2 weeks and gradually spacing out as needed.

  • As your therapist, I want you to feel confident that telehealth therapy could be a great fit for you. It offers the flexibility to attend sessions from wherever you feel most comfortable, which can be especially helpful if you have a busy schedule or find it difficult to travel. If you’re someone who feels more at ease discussing personal matters in your own space, telehealth provides that opportunity for privacy and comfort. Plus, it’s a great option if you prefer to communicate through technology or if you’re managing anxiety or other conditions that make leaving home challenging. We can always start with a few sessions to see how it feels for you, and adjust as needed to ensure that this approach supports your mental health journey effectively.

However, telehealth therapy is not suggested for those who are experiencing the following:

    • Actively suicidal individuals

    • Those thinking of harming others

    • Those currently experiencing psychosis (audio/visual hallucinations or delusion)

    • Those with severe substance abuse issues

    • Those currently in a crisis situation that may need immediate medical or law enforcement intervention.
